about
"Morning Eden Mars" is the latest in a series of singles released by NW Indie Folk/pop duo Josh Schroeder & Meredith Adelaide, for their EP Planet Music. "Morning Eden Mars" is the companion single to "Where Are You," and features the acoustic stylings of the duo set to a dance-pop backdrop. The song is inspired by the idea of an "Eden" on Mars where two lovers discover each other and their new world. Josh and Meredith are creators of the Hipster Decadence lifestyle, a blog that features an amalgamation of their artistic output of music, film, photography, food, and their love for their home base Portland, OR.
lyrics
morning lies against the summer sky
eyes that turn to gold in firelight
watch you slowly rise before me
as you took my mind
to the answer of my life
skin of leaves had stained her lips of wine
it could be the last of me this time
feel you coming, iceburgs drumming
pushing for the line
to the answer of my life
I tried taking back my eyes
but you're holding them so tight
and somehow I am blind
but I felt you here inside
if I give into your world
will you take away the dark
through the silent words we move
to the burning of a star
amor vincit omnia
amor vincit omnia
